Darlington
Clive
Owen & Co LLP was formed in 1983 as a regional Chartered Accountancy
practice. In 1984 it moved into its first offices in Cockerton, Darlington
. Four years later, the firm moved to former KPMG offices in Blackwell
Lane due to the rapid expansion of its client base. Finally, in 1997
it moved to its prestigious head office on Coniscliffe Road, formerly
owned by Ropner Plc.
York
In 1994 Terry Doyle, a former
KPMG Partner, joined the practice and established Clive Owen & Co
LLP's York office at Clifton Moor. As a result of consistent growth
in both clients and staff, the York team moved to purpose-built premises
on Northminster Business Park in 2001.
Durham
In 1997 the firm’s Durham office was
opened to service clients in the Durham and Tyneside area. The
Durham team was managed by Gary Ellis, who was consequently promoted
to be a Partner the following year. The success of the Durham
office saw it outgrow it's base in Aykley Heads in 2007 and move
to brand new offices a stone's throw from the A1.
